| Dear
Peter |
| I
think you’ll be interested in the attached article
regarding the $100 laptop
that will be provided to all people everywhere at no cost to them! |
|
Free, that is, unless they are productive enough to have produced
something of value, thus earned an income, and therefore can afford
to purchase one. |
Your
Friend,
Jim |
| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
| Dear
Jim, |
|
Organisms could be given twigs & bark, food & shelter, Corvettes &
Porches, dollars & euros, and they would still accomplish only what
they are capable of accomplishing. |
|
The vast
majority of organisms will take a handout, stare at it for a short
time, swap it for some illicit commodity, quickly exhaust that
commodity, and then sit back down to passively wait for the next
handout. |
| Anything
which accomplished, civilized organisms expect of the
majority of organisms beyond trouble, destruction, and, at best
passive destruction, is a mistake. |
Sincerely,
Peter T. Hermit, |
|
Note -- As
Peter T. Hermit identified over 36 years
ago -- but failed to apply -- "Do not look for what cannot be found." |
| Note -- No, Jim,
pause. This is
a very positive outlook. The corollary to my opening point is that
opportunity provided to those who are capable of using opportunities
do stand a
great chance of coming to fruition over time.
This corollary is valid because those who are by definition capable
will achieve through unceasing hard
work. |
