Warren Buffett purchased American companies over the
last 50 years. Warren Buffett then held onto most of
these investments in America. That is how he became a
very wealthy American. |
|
Warren Buffett had to pay money for the companies he
acquired. |
|
All Americans born after around 1940 have had opportunity
galore to participate in America's development and
growth -- just as Warren Buffett has. |
|
But most Americans were just born into the prosperity,
comforts, and safety that America provided at no cost to
most of them. |
|
Americans are born owning 100% of all the stock in
themselves. It is free. We pay nothing for it. It is
guaranteed by the US Constitution and the Bill of
Rights. And we are free to accomplish all that we can
and we are free to
fail. |
|
Today many Americans are unable to appreciate all that
they have been given. Many under-educated, unthinking,
fearful Americans are selling all their stock in
themselves and America. They are surrendering
themselves, their rights, their liberty to empty voices
whom they feel adore them. These foolish individual
sellers of America and sellers of themselves are afraid
and need immediate comforting because some situations
are less than the near-perfect that they have come to
expect here in America. |
|
That is what unthinking people who understand little do
when they are afraid and don't really want to work
themselves up and out of problems. They sell at the
bottom. |
|
For over two centuries -- and especially over the last
60 years -- America has been home to the greatest
liberty, individuality, economy, and society in
mankind's history. It will continue as long as Americans
work to sustain capitalism and stave off forces of
genuine evil. |
